“Rest in Cold", is a pattern of repeating peony blooms in circles. Peony flowers are generally associated with romance, prosperity, good fortune, a happy marriage, riches, honor, and compassion, but the artist took a different approach by coloring the blossoms in dark blue to represent the gloominess and deep pondering that lead to sadness.
